Your language, your job.
Do you live in the Netherlands and would you like to work in your own language? You can. We have work in English, Polish, Romanian, Bulgarian and Spanish. Join our international team at Fonkelzorg, help patients who speak your language, and let us train you for the medical part. You do not need a healthcare diploma for the work in our Medical Contact Centre; we train you ourselves. Only doctors need their own medical degree.
THE JOB
This is what you would do
You work in our Medical Contact Centre. Patients call, and you are the first person they speak to. You ask what is going on, you explain how healthcare in the Netherlands works, and you make sure they get the care they need.
And you do that in their language. Polish, Romanian, Bulgarian, Spanish, English. That is exactly why we are looking for you.

Not fluent in Dutch yet? A2 is enough to start!
Our systems and e-learnings are in Dutch, so you follow along in Dutch. The rest you pick up here, because you hear it all day. For doctors the rules are different: registration asks for a higher level.
You work in an international team
Colleagues from Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Spain, Ukraine and further away. Everyone here knows what a first year in a new country feels like, so you are never the only one.

You know what it feels like
You may still remember your own first months here. How unclear Dutch healthcare can be if you are not born here: who to call, what a GP actually does, why you do not go straight to the hospital, and whether anyone will understand you.
Our patients are in exactly that place now. You explain it in their language, you take the worry out of a phone call, and you make sure they get help. That is what makes this work worth doing 💛
DOCTORS
Trained as a doctor in your own country? You are welcome here too.
You can work with us under supervision while we guide you towards BIG registration. For that route we do ask for your medical degree, and Dutch at a higher level, around B2. We will tell you honestly what it takes and how long it lasts.

Questions people ask us
Do I need a diploma in healthcare?
Not for the work in our Medical Contact Centre. There we train you in-house for the medical part, and we ask for a completed education at secondary vocational level or higher, in any field. For doctors it is different: if you want to work as a doctor, we do ask for the medical degree you earned in your own country.
How good does my Dutch have to be?
To start in the Medical Contact Centre, A2 is enough, the level of the civic integration exam. Our systems and e-learnings are in Dutch, so you follow along in Dutch, and you hear it all day here, which is the fastest way to learn the rest. Doctors are the exception: BIG registration asks for a higher level, around B2.
Which languages are you looking for?
Polish most of all, and also Romanian, Bulgarian, Spanish and English. Do you speak another language our patients speak? Tell us.
I have never worked in healthcare. Is that a problem?
No. Most of our international colleagues started in the Medical Contact Centre without healthcare experience. Doctors are the exception: for that work we do ask for medical training.
What are the working hours and the salary?
You will find both in the vacancy, including the salary range and the hours per week. The schedule is made together with your colleagues.
Do I have to live near one of your locations?
We work in Den Bosch, Oss, Uden and Eindhoven, and we look at travelling time together.
